Hi ,
I have downloaded the latest rsync 2.6.8 package
"rsync-2.6.8-sol8-sparc-local.gz" from solaris freeware website.
After the installation of the package, i tried verify the list of
dynamic dependancies,
it is throwing the following problem.
Any other package need to be downloaded for this ?
ldd rsync
libpopt.so.0 => (file not found)
libiconv.so.2 => (file not found)
libsocket.so.1 => /usr/lib/libsocket.so.1
libnsl.so.1 => /usr/lib/libnsl.so.1
libc.so.1 => /usr/lib/libc.so.1
libdl.so.1 => /usr/lib/libdl.so.1
libmp.so.2 => /usr/lib/libmp.so.2
/usr/platform/SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIi-cEngine/lib/libc_psr.so.1

Matt, I have installed both the libraries popt and libiconv, still i am facing following problem for some files not for all the files, eventhough the standby machine is up.
